A Day at the Beach

I had a little work to do this morning as Carol prepared brunch. A small grungy truck slowly rode down the street with the driver broadcasting a message over loudspeakers. Naturally it was in Spanish so for all I know he was announcing when the revolution would start.

I'd like to introduce you to one of our living room chairs, Handy Landings ...

Believe it or not this buttocks catcher is actually comfortable.

We visited Jack and Linda today and spent time on the beach there. Below is my attempt to photograph a truly ultralight aircraft. The fellow was in a seat with a propeller on the back. He came grinding through the air about twenty feet above the ground but of course by the time I was ready to snap a picture he'd picked up altitude.

While on the beach we got to meet a brother and sister who work in international construction projects and have been traveling for many years. They've been all over Mexico and Ixtapa is their favorite place here.

The video below is to offer you the sight and sound of the Pacific ...

Today we remained on the beach for the sunset ...

... and afterwards we took a bus home. It's about a ten minute ride. It would far quicker if the bus would go a little faster that five miles per hour. Buses here are about a quarter the size of a Montreal bus and bus stops are irrelevant. The bus driver's job includes hollering at anyone and everyone on the sidewalk to offer them a ride. A bus ride costs $0.47 here compared to what in Montreal? $3.00?
